Mike grew up in central New Jersey and developed a passion for all things weather, which led him to a BS degree in Meteorology from Rutgers University. Soon after graduating, he moved north to the White Mountains of New Hampshire in 2008 to take part in a once-in-a-lifetime internship with the Mount Washington Observatory at its summit weather station. The three month internship turned into a nine-and-a-half year career atop Mount Washington, giving him (amongst many other things) a passion for education as he took on the additional role of Education Specialist for five years. Mike is thrilled to be a part of the WMSI team in 2018, bringing STEM education into classrooms all around the north country through WMSI’s Mobile STEM Lab. In his spare time, you can most certainly find Mike out on a hiking trail, working on his fantasy novel, or forecasting the wild White Mountains weather!
