Melissa Peplinksi

Melissa Peplinski, a part-time WMSI instructor, is originally from Binghamton NY. She graduated from Plymouth State University with a Master's degree in Science Education and currently works for the Virtual Learning Academy Charter School as a science educator. For the past 8 years she has worked on a variety of science and education projects ranging from the design of science curriculum, student and teacher mentoring programs, environmental and genetics research and international environmental education. Melissa has also designed and implemented many educational programs for K-12 girls that focus on creativity, real world connections, and turning personal interests into fun science projects. She currently runs our Inventor’s camp for girls and supports curriculum design and implementation for teacher professional development in computer science. During her spare time you can find Melissa running, reading, gardening or hiking with her dogs. She also loves to travel! ( Her picture is from her recent trip to Ireland! )
